Traditions Start from Scratch

In August, 2008, five brothers decided to begin a tradition of bonding in the truest form--isolation and adventure. Included with this tradition is our father who somehow managed to carve each of us into true men capable of going anywhere in the world and conquering our dreams. In that vain, Abe, Adam, Cameron, Jordan, and Mason each took two years of their lives to serve a mission for God and man in places like Chile, Mexico, Spain, and Africa...oh yeah, and Arizona. All of us have attended Brigham Young University. Three of us have followed our Dad down the steps of sacred matrimony to wed drop-dead beautiful women. Only one of us have managed to blaze a new tradition by creating this first blog.

Speaking of traditions, we have decided to spend several days every other year to come together and do something fun and adventurous so we can bond, learn from each other, and develop a lasting relationship into old age. Our sons will eventually join us, giving us an opportunity to build a relationship among fathers, sons, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Our inaugural trip. The Wilderness Waterway of the Everglades. A 120-mile journey through the ocean's surf, the mangroves' alleys, and the alligator's turf.

Any brother, father, or son is free to post any thoughts, prep material, questions or any other darned thing he wants.
